How to Backup MySQL Database in Godaddy?

How to Backup MySQL Database in Godaddy?

To backup or export MySQL Database first of all you need to login into your Godaddy account. You can use this link provided here it will directly take you to the Godaddy’s Website where you can login into your account by entering your username and password.

After that you need to click on your username which is show at the upper right corner of your window. You will get one menu when you click on that. Now click on Manage Your Hosting, you can refer the picture embedded below.

How to Backup MySQL Database in Godaddy?

When you click on Manage Your Hosting, all the hosting plans which are active on your Godaddy account will be displayed to you on your screen. Choose the Hosting plan whose MySQL you want to back up and click on Manage. Refer the picture below for more detailed information about this step.

You will be taken to cPanel when you click on Manage. From there scroll down to Databases and look for phpMyAdmin and click on that. A new tab will open in your web browser, click on the database which you want to backup.

After selecting the database, you will see a table on your screen. Now you need to click on Export to backup the database. You can refer the image below.

As soon as you click on Export you will see a yellow link tell you Loading……. as soon as the loading process completes. You will be asked to select the Export method, you will be getting two export methods. One is Quick which will display minimal options.

And the second one is Custom export option in which you will be shown all the possible options to you. If you are expert then choose Custom export and if you are non-technical person then I would like to recommend you to go with Quick.

You should also select the format in which you would like to export your database, you will be offered with many formats. But I recommend you to choose SQL format from the drop-down menu.
