And cloaking of affiliate links is one of those things, in this article of mine, we will learn how we can cloak affiliate links on WordPress websites or blogs.

This is way long and difficult to remember, isn’t it? yes, it is long so I have cloaked my link.

So basically, Link cloaking is a method used to make a long affiliate URL link into a shorter and prettier one.

First, let me tell you how we are going to cloak your affiliate links on your WordPress website. We will be using plugins to cloak and manage your affiliate links so I will tell you about the plugins which will help you to do so but you have to select one among them and install that plugin on your WordPress website.

There are many plugins available in WordPress plugins repository but you might get confused because there are many plugins available there which all does the same work.

But doing the work and doing the same work in a very good manner are two different things. So to avoid your confusion about which plugin to install I have listed the best link cloaking WordPress plugins, this list consists of 10 plugins you can choose any one of them.

First of all, we have to install the plugin on our website we can install them directly from the WordPress dashboard or else you can even download the plugin from WordPress.Org and then upload the plugin.

After that, activate the plugin you have installed on your website.

If you have installed Easy Affiliate Links plugin then you will get an option in the sidebar of your WordPress and that is “Affiliate Links” click on that.

You will get all the options which are related to this plugin, now to cloak any of your Affiliate links click on “Create Link”.

You are all set to cloak any one of your affiliate links using this plugin now, enter all the details asked to you by the plugin.

You have to enter the below-mentioned details in the plugin.

  • Name: Use this to identify the link. Not public.
  • Description: Use this to store any link specific information.
  • Categories: Use this to group links.
  • Default Link Text: Text shown to visitors.
  • Link URL: The Final destination for the link. Starts with http:// or https://
  • Shortlink Slug: Part of the link your visitors will see.
  • Target: Target to use for the shortlink.
  • Redirect Type: Redirect type to use for the shortlink.
  • Nofollow: Should we add the nofollow attribute to links.

Once you enter all the details asked to enter click on Insert button and you are done with it, you have now successfully cloaked your affiliate link.

You can have to follow the same steps every time you cloak any of your links.
